In October 2025, as part of their first mobility within the Valueable Network, two young French trainees — Melchior and Flavio — spent three weeks working in the restaurant of the INNSiDE Milano Torre GalFa. As one of their hosts, Celeste Cerere, Food & Beverage Manager, shares her experience of welcoming them into the team.
“Taking part in the Valueable Network project has been an extremely positive experience for us — both professionally and personally.
We had the pleasure of welcoming two young French trainees, Melchior in the kitchen and Flavio in the restaurant. From the very first days, they stood out for their commitment, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
Despite the initial language barrier, they quickly integrated into our team, creating a warm and collaborative atmosphere. They learned their tasks quickly and carried them out with care, precision, and great enthusiasm.
Flavio, determined to master the art of the perfect cappuccino — complete with little milk hearts — and Melchior, who became an expert in preparing polpette milanesi, both left a special mark on our team. Melchior brought joy to the workplace with his love of music and his impromptu dance routines, which by the end we had all learned — to everyone’s amusement!
The accompanying tutors also played a key role. Their constant presence, support, and sensitivity helped the trainees feel at ease from the very beginning, and their dedication ensured a smooth and enriching experience for everyone involved.
The presence of Flavio and Melchior was truly an added value for the entire department: they brought energy, positivity, and good humour that inspired the whole team. Their enthusiasm encouraged all of us to share our knowledge, to teach — and, at the same time, to learn from them.”
Celeste’s testimony captures the heart of the Valueable Network: creating real opportunities, strengthening hospitality workplaces, and showing how inclusion enriches everyone involved.
