The fifth mobility experience of AIPD Nazionale’s “Mobilità all’estero 2024” project has officially begun!
From 1 to 19 October 2025, trainees from the AIPD Lecce and AIPD Potenza sections are taking part in an international internship at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Limerick, Ireland – which is part of the iNua Hotel Group, a proud member of the Valueable Network.
This initiative gives young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to gain real work experience abroad in the hospitality sector.
- From AIPD Lecce, Letizia Cananiello and Giulio Cagnazzo, are accompanied by Alessia Stapane.
- From AIPD Potenza, Aurora Ricciardella and Jesus Antonio Bermudez, accompanied by Angela Lucia.
The four trainees are already settling in and sharing their impressions of this formative experience:
“This is a great opportunity — it’s my first work experience and I am loving it!” says Giulio.
“I like to work, the colleagues are kind and friendly, and I am able to practice my English,” adds Letizia.
Jesus proudly tells us: “All the trainees are working well, learning new skills to clean up hotel rooms.”
Aurora concludes: “Everything is going well at work, I fit in well with the team, I am excited to be here and don’t want to leave.”
The enthusiasm of these participants shows how meaningful international mobility can be — not only for developing professional skills, but also for building independence, confidence, and intercultural understanding.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa Limerick and the iNua Hotel Group for their warm welcome and commitment to inclusive employment.
