Meininger City Hostel & Hotel joined Valueable Network in 2024 and has proudly obtained the Silver Label recognition for their commitment to disability inclusion.
Founded in Berlin in 1999, MEININGER Hotels operate 36 hybrid hotels across 26 European cities, combining the comfort and reliability of a budget hotel with the social openness of a hostel. Their concept offers affordable, central accommodation for a wide range of travellers—from solo guests and business travellers to families and school groups.
Diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities are core to MEININGER’s approach. As an employer and host, MEININGER actively values people of different backgrounds, identities and abilities, recognising that inclusive teams lead to stronger workplaces and better guest experiences.
Today, the group employs colleagues with disabilities across several roles, including Isabella in breakfast service (since 2021), Sven at reception (since 2023), and Angel in service (since 2024).
Designed as social and accessible spaces, MEININGER hotels encourage interaction and a sense of belonging through shared kitchens, bars and common areas. Through their engagement with Valueable, MEININGER aims to continue learning, sharing and collaborating to strengthen inclusive practices and remove barriers across the hospitality sector.
